Role Summary:

This position will lead the effort to support service organization for MIH parts in the factory by ensuring all requests are collected, scoped and executed towards. Applicant would be required to be proactive and take ownership on complete execution end-to end. This role requires flexibility and quick response for product change over. Thorough understanding the overall constraint from production, material handling, packaging requirement and supply chain is mandatory.

You will collaborate and maintain partnerships across Service with Service Engineering, NPI, Demand Planning, Accessories, and Rivian’s global distribution network to successfully execute MRP planning in Rivian’s ERP system and ensure supply continuity across our global network.

Responsibilities:

  • Will require to be in regular conversation with service planning team to review the demand forecast by part number.
  • Perform periodic audits on field failure rates vs actual demand to modify demand week-by-week basis.
  • Responsible to scope out, product categorization for complexity on execution, volume, packaging requirements and inventory management at service station.
  • Required to provide a weekly summary on overall service request and highlighting open action items.
  • Will require the order processing is done systematically. Additionally, audit the demand signals facing the plant.
  • Conduct meetings with cross functional teams to ensure proper execution is maintained.
  • Manage engineering changes for the commodities assigned to you through participation in the NPI process, while minimizing obsolescence and ensuring supply continuity for your parts
  • Seek out new innovations and present new strategies to continuously improve all areas of the organization
  • Perform addition responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Material Planning, supply chain management or manufacturing production planning 
  • BA or Masters in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations or applicable discipline
  • Experience or strong knowledge in ERP/MRP with focused experience on product lifecycle management, EDI communications, bills of material, supply chain operations, and procure to pay processes (SAP experience preferred)
  • Strong collaborator, with a positive attitude to drive change and provide excellent customer service
  • Strong analytical skills – high proficiency in Excel (advanced a plus)
