The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer with expertise and demonstrated results in Asset Reliability and Reliability Centered Maintenance.  In this role, you will work closely with our plant operations and maintenance teams to implement maintenance strategies and tools to prevent equipment failures, optimizing the performance and cost of our manufacturing systems.  You will be a key partner in our journey towards operational excellence, leading proactive maintenance, increasing operational efficiencies, and extending asset lifecycles.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates and works directly with manufacturing sites to develop, optimize, and implement
    • Preventative Predictive Maintenance programs.
    • MRO Inventory Management systems.
    • Maintenance & Reliability process and tools.
    • Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
    • Best maintenance practices and standards.
  • Support world-class maintenance excellence and capability, including current state assessment and implementing a plan to achieve Operational Excellence.
  • Optimize cost, identify gaps, and identify opportunities to improve asset performance.
  • Lead and support analysis of equipment and systems failures, using problem solving and continuous improvement tools (i.e., RCA, Fishbone, DMAIC and FMECA).
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers, support the Engineering Work Process during Capital Project design, installation, start-up, and acceptance of new and re-purposed assets, to ensure reliability and maintainability, including site acceptance testing to adhere to functional specifications and maintenance requirements.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Maintenance and Reliability, including:
    • Asset Criticality
    • Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
    • Data analysis techniques (SPC, Modeling, Fault Tree Analysis, Six Sigma 6σ)
    • Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
    • Non-destructive testing
  • Maintain and deploy a broad knowledge of industry trends and new technology innovation in Predictive Maintenance and Reliability to enhance manufacturing and extend asset lifecycles.
  • Supports site capability building with assessment and evaluation of site maintenance staff, training, and knowledge transfer to site maintenance teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Science in Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree required.
  • 4-8 years of progressive experience in reliability, maintenance, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Continuous Improvement; TPM methodology preferred.
  • Background and experience in Food & Beverage / Pharma preferred.
  • Professional certification as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
  • Demonstrated capability and successes in Reliability Engineering, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Predictive Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Knowledge and ability in statistical data analysis and continuous improvement methodology; TPM preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in implementing, standardizing, and optimizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, and ERP Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, and comfortable working on the plant floor.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with demonstrated experience in effectively coaching and influencing teams not in a reporting relationship.
  • Results oriented and ability to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Strong planning skills, and the ability to follow-up and successfully execute plans.
  • Must be open to 20% - 25% travel.
