RESPONSIBILITIES:
Have an endless thirst and enthusiasm for telling stories about Rivian in key consumer media outlets, building our profile and reputation.
- Join a lean, disciplined, high-responsibility communications team to develop and execute a clear media / influencer strategy to ensure our stories are told in the right place and secure consistent inspiring coverage about Rivian and its products.
- Rivian is a brand with no shortage of stories to tell from product to sustainability, technology, and retail. We are looking for an experienced publicist whose finger is on the pulse of the news cycle, understands what makes a compelling pitch and can craft clear narratives that interpret our company effectively for the consumer lifestyle media.
- Product launches – Rivian is a fast-moving and dynamic company with an ambitious product roadmap. We need someone who can help create powerful launch moments that engage and excite media nationally and internationally.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience in communications with an emphasis on media relations.
- Deep existing relationships and contacts across the media spectrum and a passion for placing stories where they will have the most impact.
- Ability to understand the nuances of the brand to pitch appropriately.
- Experience in automotive is not necessary, but there must be a willingness to understand the EV (Electric Vehicle) world and what makes Rivian special.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical language and information to create clear communications and experiences.
- Strong team-oriented mindset, able to embrace flexible work across time zones and collaborate to get the work done.
- Strong interpersonal communicator with partners at all levels to successfully drive projects to completion within tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with colleagues across organizational and cultural boundaries to ensure successful execution.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
