About the company:
Swytch is changing the way we move. We fundamentally believe that transport shouldn't cost the Earth - so we've made it our mission to make electric transport accessible to everybody.
Since launching in 2017 we have reached over 100,000 customers, across 50 countries who have collectively ridden over 2 million miles!
Founded by engineers and cycling enthusiasts Oliver Montague and Dmitro Khroma, Swytch is a close-knit team dedicated to creating low carbon transport solutions which are fun to use and good for the planet and our customers. Our office is based in an old biscuit factory in Hackney Wick, East London. We have a fully functional workshop where the innovation and new product proposals come to life.
The role
Senior Product Design Engineer (SPDE) is responsible for the conceptualisation, design, build, verification, and validation of new products whilst collaborating with industrial designers, the technical team in China, and other business functions, to ensure a consumer-focused, viable and validated product is scalable for production at the agreed specification, and in a timely manner.
This role has a large focus on 2D/3D file ownership and would be an ideal fit for a technical-minded self-starting individual contributor. An ideal candidate would have an effective ability to interact within multiple areas of the business at all levels. This role is hybrid – 3 days in London office, 2 days from home (if desired).
