What you will do:  

The Senior Microsoft Developer, Modern Workplace, serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and modern workplace technologies. This role will design, develop, and implement solutions that transform how Electra collaborates, automates, and innovates. A key focus will be advancing the use of Microsoft Copilot AI across the organization—embedding AI into workflows, unlocking data insights, and enabling employees to achieve more with intelligent tools. 
 
As a senior professional, this role operates with independence and judgment, provides technical leadership on internal initiatives, mentors junior staff, and partners with stakeholders to align business needs with scalable, secure, and forward-looking digital workplace solutions. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced solutions using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), SharePoint Online, Teams, and related Microsoft service 
  • Serve as the primary technical lead for enabling Microsoft Copilot AI across Electra’s Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring secure deployment and adoption of AI-powered productivity feature 
  • Drive automation and integration initiatives that streamline business processes, improve data flow, and enhance decision-making across function 
  • Partner with business leaders and IT stakeholders to understand strategic needs and translate them into scalable technical architecture 
  • Act as a thought leader for Microsoft innovation at Electra, identifying opportunities to adopt emerging capabilities in AI, data, and collaboration 
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to professional-level developers, IT staff, and “citizen developers” across the business 
  • Develop governance and best practices for Microsoft application development, including security, compliance, and lifecycle management 
  • Create advanced technical documentation, solution blueprints, and training guides to ensure sustainable adoption and knowledge transfer 
  • Collaborate closely with the Manager, Digital Workplace Support & Engagement to align development work with support, adoption, and employee experience initiatives 
  • Represent IT in cross-functional projects and committees where Microsoft and AI technologies play a central role 
  • Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 

 

What we need you to bring to the team (required):   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience) 
  • 8+ years of experience in Microsoft solution development, including demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional projects (excluding internship, co-ops, and other school projects) 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft technologies, with expertise in Power Platform, SharePoint Online development, Microsoft Teams customization, and Microsoft Graph API integrations 
  • Preferred advanced Microsoft certifications, such as Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400), Microsoft 365 Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or AI-900 (Azure AI Fundamentals 
  • Proven ability to implement AI/ML capabilities within Microsoft environments, including Copilot AI, AI Builder, and Azure Cognitive Services 
  • Strong architectural skills to design scalable, secure, and integrated digital workplace solutions that align with business objective 
  • Advanced knowledge of governance, compliance, and security practices in Microsoft 365 environments 
  • Skilled in evaluating complex situations, analyzing variable factors, and developing innovative methods, procedures, and solutions 
  • Ability to build networks across disciplines, adapt communication style to diverse audiences, and influence senior stakeholders 
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through policy development, mentoring, and guiding cross-functional teams on complex technical matters 
  • Accountable for delivering high-quality, impactful solutions that achieve tactical and strategic business targets 

 

What we want you to bring to the team (preferred):   

  • 10+ years of experience in Microsoft solution development, including demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional projects (excluding internships, co-ops, and other school projects) 

 

Compensation:   

  • The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $100,000-$127,000 and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
