Role Description
The Senior Manager of Warehouse Operations is part of the Operations Leadership and provides the critical function of managing the day-to-day activities of shipping, receiving, storage, stocking and inventory of a fast-paced Manufacturing/Engineering/R&D team. Having the right parts, equipment, and materials in the correct location ready for use is a critical and necessary function for the success of the team and achieving our company goals. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, lab management, and procurement teams, you will bring the experience, confidence and knowledge to execute the current shipping, receiving and inventory systems and continuously improve the systems.  Your primary customers will be our team members in CA, and you will provide support and coordination to our Form Energy PA and MA teams for cross country transfer of materials.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Senior Manager of Warehouse Operations will manage the warehouse operations team to support the business needs to deliver Form’s daily electrode production targets.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the operational planning, staffing, systems and procedures, in order to meet Form’s production goals
  • Directly support pilot and factory production by supervising, optimizing, and troubleshooting the efficient and accurate flow of materials
  • Proactively monitor indicators of warehouse health, anticipate problems, engage directly and  escalate when necessary
  • Implement WMS systems to track and forecast inventory levels at each of Form Energy’s warehouse sites
  • Develop and manage relationships with external vendors, as well as our internal supply chain, quality and production organizations  
  • Set up systems and processes for the proper handling and disposition of a variety of material classes (including HAZMAT)
  • What You'll Bring:

  • 5-10 years of progressively increasing responsibilities for warehouse processes and 3+ years of direct people management experience
  • Experience as a super user or admin in OracleCloud, Netsuite, SAP or other WMS software systems
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining warehouse systems for R&D and Manufacturing environments
  • Ability to re-prioritize and adapt to the needs of the build plans or research while maintaining required documentation, processes, and standards
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Experience and certifications in the preparation of shipping documents for domestic and international, import, tariff, taxes hazardous material shipping
  • Clear understanding of warehouse fundamental practices such as FIFO, LIFO, dwell times, shelf life, shelf loading, material handling or other best practices
