Who You Are
The Senior Manager, Learning and Development is responsible for improving the productivity and development of the organization's employees to enable a culture of performance, recognition and continuous feedback. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies, designs and arranges suitable training solutions for employees.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Creates, defines and implements company-wide learning and development programs that align with company strategy and needs.
- Develops success metrics for programs and leverages data to drive decisions and improvements around development programs and learning activities.
- Partners closely with the People team and leaders to determine organizational learning objectives and develops a roadmap for learning strategy.
- Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
- Supports employee feedback cycle and associated continuous feedback programs.
- Actively supports the organization’s capacity to change and achieve greater effectiveness through planned interventions in the areas of change, culture and team health.
- Coordinates with EHS&S as needed regarding safety related training.
- Designs content, coordinates and facilitates employee onboarding programs.
- Partners with the People team and the business to ensure intern program success.
- Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
- Oversees the design and implementation of talent development processes, including talent review & succession, executive coaching, mentoring and performance management.
- Collaborates with leaders and managers to identify high-potential employees and supports their development plans to accelerate their growth and advance their careers.
- Designs and implements diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to foster a diverse workforce and promote an inclusive culture.
- Communicates / Markets learning events and opportunities to employees.
- Partners with HRBPs and the business to outline and track efforts to increase employee engagement.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience leading a learning and development organization including creating and executing a multi-year learning and development strategy.
- Experience building training programs and using learning management systems.
- Experience developing high performing teams.
- Curriculum development experience.
- Experience with employee engagement surveys and continuous feedback software.
- Experience operating in a fast paced, growing environment, with the ability to pivot and iterate quickly if needed
- Experience designing a learning & development strategy that integrates company values, a high performance culture, and broader business goals
- Deep expertise of the learning and development space and familiarity with emerging trends
- Experience creating strong partnerships with senior leaders and stakeholders and garnering support to drive successful learning initiatives
- Experience interpreting data to create insights that inspire change at various levels of the organization
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
Work Schedule
Regular Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
Payscale Disclosure
The starting base pay for this role is between $161,000 and $204,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
