Position Overview:

ChargePoint is seeking a seasoned Electrical Distribution Partner Account Manager with a proven track record in effectively managing a well-established distribution network. This is a full-time role dedicated to driving the adoption of ChargePoint's Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) solutions within the electrical distribution channel and among customers. As a critical member of our channel organization, you will be responsible for formulating strategies and leading the execution of sales plans, promotional activities, and stocking initiatives.

North America Director, Distribution Sales

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate Electrical Distribution Partnerships: Focus on developing and nurturing partnerships with electrical distributors in the Northeast territory.
  • Educational Outreach: Educate partners and their customers about the EV market and the advantages of ChargePoint's charging solutions.
  • Sales Engagement: Take the lead in conducting sales meetings with electrical distributors within the defined territory.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with designated electrical distribution branches.
  • Partner Recruitment and Support: Recruit, onboard, and provide ongoing support to electrical distributors within the assigned territory.
  • Contract Management: Initiate, negotiate, and execute contracts as necessary.
  • Strategic Planning: Create growth-oriented sales plans tailored to both new and existing channel partners.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with management and other analysts on critical business projects.
  • Sales Operations Assistance: Support sales operations as required.
  • Ecosystem Coordination: Ensure effective collaboration among different players within the ecosystem.
  • Reporting and Transparency: Provide ongoing reporting and maintain transparency in all activities.
  • Pipeline and Revenue Management: Monitor, report, and drive pipeline and revenue on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Travel: Be prepared for up to 60% travel as needed.

Qualifications:

 

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution sales and management.
  • Proven track record of establishing strategic partnerships and alliances at an enterprise level.
  • Practical experience within the electrical supply distribution industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong execution capability, thoughtfulness, and passion.
  • University degree or equivalent work experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in working with electrical contractors and a solid understanding of the construction industry.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, both in-person and remotely.
  • Strong computer skills, including expertise in Windows Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Salesforce.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral (including semi-formal presentations) and written.
  • Salesforce proficiency preferred.
  • A collaborative team player who can bridge the gap between industry and technology.
  • Possess a "start-up" mentality with a proactive approach to getting things done.

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $58,500 to $125,750. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
