About the Role:

Loam is seeking a Senior Manager of Carbon Markets and Partnerships. This role is pivotal in expanding our presence in the carbon market and strengthening our relationships with carbon removal credit purchasers globally. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced professional, capable of forging strong alliances and driving significant carbon deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships in the carbon market, focusing on buyers of high quality carbon removal solutions
  • Leverage an extensive network of contacts to cultivate a global network of buyers, including corporations and other key stakeholders in the carbon markets.
  • Lead negotiations and manage relationships for carbon credit sales and partnerships.
  • Represent Loam Bio in various forums, showcasing our commitment to sustainable agriculture and carbon sequestration.
  • Work closely with our technical and project teams to understand and effectively communicate the value of our carbon credits.
  • Develop strategies to expand our carbon credit market presence at the global level.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align carbon market strategies with overall business goals and sustainability objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Business Administration, Economics, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in carbon markets, environmental finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive network and strong background in building and managing partnerships, particularly in sales or business development within the carbon credit market.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex environmental and carbon market concepts.
  • Strong presence and ability to represent the company in various global forums.
  • Knowledge of the North American carbon market, with specific insights into the Calgary market, is highly desirable.
