Role Description
We are looking for a highly driven Industrial Engineer to lead industrial and material flow design for our first-in-kind battery factory and beyond. This is an exciting opportunity to start from a blank slate and use first principles fundamentals to design the FormFactory as a fully integrated product with the ambition to enable the most advanced high volume battery manufacturing in the world.

What You'll Do:
Own the industrial and material flow analytics and optimizationOptimize flow, inline, Interline buffers/storage and PFEPMeasure, establish and optimize capacity specs/targets (OEE and cycle times)Own analytics and modeling to develop flow paths and aisle sizing for products, raw materials, and work in progressDevelop material flow and layout metrics to drive factory efficiency with the cross-functional teams (manufacturing, operations…)Allocate, optimize space for production lines and other supporting functions to maximize operational and people needsDensify the factory, eliminating non-value add movement or processesDistill many inputs into few: delivering world-class decision support for senior leaders and executivesWhat You'll Bring:
5+ years of Industrial & Factory planning and optimization experienceExpertise in manufacturing, OEE, capacity planning, cycle time analysis, line balancing, buffer sizingBS/MS in Industrial engineering or equivalentExpertise in material flow design, layouts, warehousing capacity and related softwareExperience doing the detailed analysis necessary to make data driven decisions on warehouse or production line designExperience with complex data management tools is preferred (Python, SQL…)Track record of excellence in current and prior roles, demonstrable with metrics or KPIsExcellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, summarization, etcAble to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
