Role Description
We are looking for an EHS Engineer Lead to further develop and manage the daily functions of the Form Energy safety program at our facility located in Berkeley, CA. This person will be responsible for working with our EHS Manager to ensure our team is operating with best safety practices and leading efforts to improve the culture of safety in the workplace. The ideal candidate will be both able to proactively mitigate new hazards as well as be willing to roll up their sleeves to quickly respond to critical situations. This person will work closely with all members of the Form Energy team to provide a great and safe place to work. Minimum of 5 years experience in environmental health and safety rolesDirect experience with navigating regulatory requirements as they relate to Large Quantity Generator statusAdvanced degree in safety, chemistry, or engineering preferredExtensive knowledge of chemical interactions and hazards and wet lab safetyFamiliar with Cal OSHA requirements for general industryASP/CSP/CHMM or similar certifications preferredOSHA10 / OSHA30 certificationsHazwoper certificationsRCRA/Title 22 trainingDepartment of Transportation Hazardous materials shipping certifications
