ABOUT THE POSITION
As the Senior Analyst - Global Responsible Sourcing, you will play a critical role in helping Fluence execute its Environmental, Social, and Governance Mission. You will work under the general supervision of the Manager – Global Responsible Sourcing and will lead in the development and execution of the Fluence Responsible Sourcing and Conflict Minerals Programs. You are responsible for ensuring that the company’s supply chain partners comply with responsible sourcing best practices, relevant regulations as well as industry best practices and standards. You must possess a deep knowledge of responsible supply chain compliance & trends and data collection & analysis; maintain an inquisitive and collaborative attitude and able to present complex programs to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as a responsible sourcing subject matter expert applying Environmental, Social, and Governance expertise to contribute and deliver on Fluence’s ESG Targets & Responsibilities.
· Execution of the Fluence Responsible Sourcing Playbook and Supplier Code of Conduct that outlines compliance policies, performance benchmark & reporting, and standards for suppliers, and ensures it remains current and relevant to supply chain risk and business needs.
· Regularly advise, promote, and represent a culture of responsible sourcing compliance and accountability through meetings, trainings & audits, and data collection & management for key stakeholders.
· Partner with stakeholders – leadership, sourcing, third-party auditors, and regional units to identify and prioritize social and environmental supply chain risks, compliance, future trends, and business needs necessary to deliver and implement responsible sourcing performance.
· Collect, analyze, and present all responsible sourcing and sustainability data and milestones through company and leadership reports, customer inquiries, and regulatory queries.
· Drive the execution and implementation of strategic projects: Conflict Mineral traceability, Supply chain social compliance, and Scope III GHG Reporting (Supply Chain).
· In addition to the foundational competencies in data analysis, proficiency in presentation techniques, and expertise in content writing, candidates are expected to possess strong training capabilities. An exceptional command of Microsoft Excel is essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of SAP systems.
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
5+ years of direct experience in responsible sourcing or supply chain sustainability programs.
Degree in a relevant subject AND/OR commercial experience within a sustainability role AND/OR Graduate Degree in Sustainability related courses or master’s in business administration.
Understanding human rights and social issues in global supply chains.
Proficient with Microsoft office packages including Excel and PowerPoint.
Works collaboratively and effectively with others.
Experience working with Forced Labour, Modern Slavery and Supply Chain Due Diligence acts.
Thorough knowledge of international supply chain regulations covering social and environmental requirements.
Experience managing Conflict Minerals programs and RMI program.
Familiarity with sustainability and GHG reporting, ISO 14001 and SA8000.
Experience effectively communicating technical information and standards including complex regulatory requirements to a variety of audiences.
Ability to prioritize work and set clear expectations. Be detailed oriented with the ability to work with minimum oversight.
Inquisitive nature with a passion for improving supply chain responsibility and solving complex challenges.
Able to garner support through engagement and education.
