We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant who will be part of the Finance & Accounting team of Lucid Middle East.

Responsibility:

  • Perform various GL month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, prepaids, account analysis and help in resolving accounting issues.
  • Perform all balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Prepare and post intercompany elimination and journal entries in order to produce consolidated financial statements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to help drive accurate reporting of key financial metrics.
  • Review monthly accounting close process, including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
  • Assist in preparing month-end financial statements and analyzing results.
  • Maintain and enhance business processes, systems, documentation, and controls as part of SOX compliance efforts.
  • Perform accounting for the company’s leases under ASC 842, including collaborating with the real estate/supply chain/ IT team and reviewing new/existing leases.
  • Assist with SEC reporting.
  • Assist with various aspects of internal, external and ZATCA audits.
  • Participate in various ad hoc accounting projects and requests, as needed.
  • Proactively review the contracts, highlight any contractual risks, and monitor compliance with key contract terms.
  • Implement controls, monitor compliance, supervise physical verification, and maintain accurate records of inventory & fixed assets.
  • Ensure the accuracy of revenue and costs in the financial statements.
  • Lead any other tasks which are assigned.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and/or the equivalent in experience.
  • 5-7 years of Relevant background in accounting and finance.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills.
  • Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • CPA or SOCPA preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Experience with Taxation in Saudi Arabia is a plus.
