Lucid is currently seeking a Logistics Scrap Operations Specialist. Ideal candidates can manage waste streams for scrap plastic, metals, rubber, glass, foam, PCBA’s and other scrap generated from manufacturing and production builds.

You Will:

  • Responsible for scheduling movement of scrap material out of storage areas for Lucid Motors facilities to scrap yard
  • Develops and implements plans/projects that reduce the amount of waste generated and/or the amount of scrap going to the landfill.
  • Ensures all deliverables are completed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Investigates situations that could create regulatory, financial, or environmental issues for Lucid Motors
  • Tracks all scrap shipment activities and prepares comprehensive reports for management
  • Responsible for adjusting inventory levels as needed based on cycle counts and scrap into SAP
  • Creates monthly metrics and KPI’s to monitor scrap output generated.
  • Maintains daily/weekly scrap logs
  • Provides management with weekly/monthly scrap status reports
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding specifications, supplies and other requirements
  • Will serve as representative and liaison between Lucid and end of life/destruction vendors
  • Ensures proper training and required technical knowledge of scrap team
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Lucid Motors business.
  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner.
  • Attends and participates in scrap and recycling trade shows 
  • You Bring:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience to meet the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration for this position.
  • 3 - 4 years prior experience providing coordination and oversight of scrap, recycled & waste management
  • 1 - 2 years prior experience with “Zero Waste” principles and practices.
  • Experience providing coordination and oversight
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all suppliers.
  • Must have excellent multitasking skills
  • Must have strong ability to quickly prioritize situations and mitigate all issues
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Must have strong computer skills – Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Strong systems, SAP experience required.
