As our Sales Engineer, you are the technical backbone supporting certified installers and the sales team. You guide partners through complex installations, integrations, and troubleshooting, ensuring they fully understand Smappee’s solutions and can implement them successfully. By combining strong technical expertise with customer-oriented communication, you help drive sales, resolve challenges efficiently, and deliver an excellent end-to-end experience for our professional partners.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical contact point for certified installers, providing support for complex installations, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure installers gain a solid understanding of Smappee’s technical specifications, system configuration, and diagnostic techniques.
- Analyse and resolve technical issues; escalate complex cases to engineering or product development when needed.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution and high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain deep product knowledge of Smappee’s solutions and system compatibility.
- Support the sales team by aligning technical solutions with customer needs and identifying opportunities during customer interactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in electrical engineering, electromechanics, or a related technical field.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with energy monitoring, smart home technology, EV charging, or renewable energy solutions is a strong asset.
- Willingness to travel within Belgium and occasionally internationally.
- Fluency in Dutch, with good command of English and/or French.
