Your Role and your Team:

Directly Reporting to and lead by the Lilium eAircraft Accountable Manager (AM) Production Organization at our HQ in Munich, you implement, maintain, monitor, and lead the Lilium eAircraft Production Organization Safety Management System in line with EASA Part 21 Subpart A & G regulation. 

 Your Day to Day:

·       Guided by Liliums Safety way and the PMS-SM Element description you implement, and maintain the Production Organization Safety Management System

·       You facilitate safety hazard identification, as well as risk assessment and management within the PO Approved locations and facilities, as well towards the PO Supply Chain in relation with our SC Team.

·       Monitoring the implementation of action taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan, unless action follow-up is addressed by the independent monitoring function, is one of your main duties.

·       On time align and manage risks acceptance with the AM

·      Through continues safety KPI performance measures and risk tracking, you provide periodic reports on safety performance to the recurrent Production Organization safety review board, and Liliums Safety Council in close collaboration with Liliums company Safety Manager

·       Ensuring the maintenance of safety management documentation and build up an effective digital Risk analysing and tracking solution.

·       In alignment with the Lilium Academy, you ensure that there is sufficient safety training available adequate to the roles and responsibilities, meeting acceptable standards.

·       With your Safety experience and competency, you provide advice on safety matters; and guide the Production Organization / Management Team on Safety Promotion via your developed Safety Promotion Strategy

·       Being responsible for the Safety reporting system and received Safety reports via the implemented IT application, you ensure the initiation and follow-up of internal investigations of such events / occurrences.

·       For mandatory reporting occurrences you closely and on time collaborate with our PO Quality team to ensure Authority reporting

·       You actively promote “Just Culture “ across all levels of the organization.

·       Monitoring of the SMS performance for continues Safety improvement by acceptable means supported by independent System monitoring of the Quality Function

Your Profile:

·       Engineering or technical degree adequate to and supporting the role in understanding the Organisations business.

·       Your worked in an aviation environment where you actively have been involved in SMS part of Aircraft Maintenance or Aircraft Flight Operation

·       Sufficient knowledge about aviation safety regulation; International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards and EU EASA requirements for safety management.

·       Experience and good understanding of management systems, including compliance monitoring and risk management principles.

·       Quality and Safety mindset and behaviour is part of your DNA.

·       You are aware of and have applied safety investigation techniques.

·       A well understanding of the impact of Human Factor, including Human Performance and limitations is part of your skill and competency package.

·       You carry a clear picture about a positive safety culture and capability of its promotion and communication into the organization.

·       Fact-driven, resilient, and personally committed to achieving success – without ego.

·       Familiar with and keen in promoting “Just Culture“ across all levels of the organization.

·       You drive proactive stakeholder management, demonstrate an open, emphatic, and direct communication to all levels of the organization while building up trustful, confident and integer relationships.

·       Strong motivation to help build and shape your organization, structures, and processes.

·       High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.

·       Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills required.

·       Fluent English language skills are essential, German or any other language skills would be beneficial.
