As the Revenue Accounting Manager you will play a critical role in helping Fluence deliver quality financial results. In this role, you will oversee the revenue accounting policy and technical accounting treatment of all customer agreements while maintaining SOX compliance. You will analyze and educate business partners on the appropriate accounting treatment and advise as needed when agreements are modified or new arrangements are considered.
Revenue recognition is a critical process at Fluence. Fluence utilizes various recognition methodologies including percentage of completion, straight line and point in time for different products and services as appropriate. Contracts typically also include components of variable consideration.

In Colorado, the standard pay range for this role is $95K - $130K annually. This range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable in other locations.

As the Revenue Accounting Manager at Fluence, you will:
Perform technical accounting reviews of revenue contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment. Addressing technical accounting inquiries from the business related to appropriate treatment of revenue-related matters.Perform functions related to the overall period-close process including but not limited to preparing analytical reviews, cash-flow proofs, equity roll-forwards and other close tasks as needed.Assist in SEC Reporting as needed. Assist with other technical accounting matters as needed.Maintain strong internal controls and SOX compliance.What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
Minimum of four year’s accounting experience preferably involving a mix of public accounting and industry. Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting, business administration, or equivalent training.Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition concepts.Self-motivated and self-directed, as well as possessing strong time management and organizational skills.Advanced knowledge and skill with Excel and the ability to automate tasks.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.CPA preferred.Big four experience preferred.
