We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator for the Netherlands and The Nordics to help accelerate our growth and establish a strong presence in the Dutch and Nordic markets. In this role you will play a crucial role in increasing regional brand visibility, crafting and executing social media plans and driving regional marketing initiatives focusing on multi-channel lead generation, PR activities and events. 

You will work closely with local distributors, large installers, and the regional sales team to execute marketing strategies that align with Smappee’s global goals while catering to the specific needs of the Dutch and the Nordic markets. 

This role is ideal for a dynamic and proactive marketeer with a strong understanding of the local markets, a flair for building robust local networks, and a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency. 

Responsibilities 

  • You drive growth marketing efforts, including list building, content creation, and campaign execution (email campaigns, social media, paid advertising, cold calling) tailored to the Dutch and the Nordic markets. 
  • You prepare a content longlist based on regional news and trends, and revise and localize global content to ensure relevance and impact in the local market. 
  • You build and manage networks in the Netherlands and Nordics to enhance brand visibility and establish valuable industry contacts. 
  • You help build targeted media lists and contacts. 
  • You act as local media contact, localize press releases, and oversee PR initiatives to enhance brand reputation and visibility. 
  • You scout and evaluate potential trade shows and manage Smappee’s participation, ensuring maximum exposure and lead generation. 
  • You plan and execute local partner events to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • You develop and implement co-marketing initiatives with local distributors and large installers to boost brand visibility and sales. 
  • You lead the marketing onboarding process for large partners and customers, ensuring they are fully integrated and aligned with Smappee’s brand and offering. 
  • You promote and manage Smappee’s Academy Certification program to educate and certify partners and customers. 
  • You act as the main point-of-contact for the regional sales team, delivering marketing support and ensuring seamless alignment with the global marketing strategy and brand guidelines. 
  • You regularly communicate with the HQ marketing team to ensure local strategies are aligned with global objectives and to share insights from the Dutch and Nordic markets. 
  • You manage local social mediaplanning and community management as the role evolves. 

Requirements

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B(2C) marketing, ideally in the renewable energy sector. 
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and to build relationship and network. 
  • You are experienced with digital marketing strategies and lead generation, with a focus on results-driven campaigns. 
  • You are a creative thinker with a strategic vision and the ability to elevate the brand in competitive markets. You have the ability to create use cases from local success. 
  • You have excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. 
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, also to ensure effective communication with regional stakeholders. 
  • You are proactive, self-starter attitude with a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency. 
  • You are willing to travel in order to attend trade shows or other commercial events.
