We are currently seeking a Purchase Associate. The Purchasing Associate manages global sourcing for all assigned commodities and work from the Global Supply Managers supporting various vehicle systems, maintain the component timelines, and assist with purchasing throughout the company.

Responsibility

  • Analyze purchasing plans and needs to identify the best approach to go to supply market
  • Conduct market review to identify market dynamics, available supply base and engage with potential suppliers
  • Understand supplier capabilities and segments to match with business needs
  • Work with internal Lucid stakeholders to confirm business needs, specifications and SoW, prepare selection approach of best value quotations or proposals
  • Create RFXs (RFI, RFQ or RFP), review, analyze and clarify responses including quotations or proposals from suppliers
  • Negotiate best value outcomes for Lucid including prices, terms and conditions
  • Prepare award justifications and secure internal approvals
  • Finalize Purchase Orders and/or contracts
  • Integrate awarded suppliers to start delivery and conduct performance checks
  • Manage and archive all procurement related documents such as bids, NDAs, POs, Contracts…etc.
  • Produce and manage procurement reports.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, technical, supply chain or finance discipline preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a supply chain related role
  • Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve, as well as work independently on multiple tasks or projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of resilience to deal with urgent requests, and minimal information.  Works well with various teams
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem solving skills. Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution. Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage difficult suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff
  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational and program management capabilities
  •   Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
  • Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively
