Job Description 

Lilac is seeking a Procurement Specialist to carry out assigned purchases (goods or services) for Lilac´s operations in Argentina to add value to Lilac’s operations (in terms of total cost of ownership, quality, delivery lead time, etc.), comply with assigned time and budget goals, and contribute to company goals. This work must be carried out respecting company policies and procedures, and maintaining the highest ethical standards at all times. 

Responsibilities  

• Execute assigned procurement processes 
• Manage assigned workload according to priorities defined by management
• Analyze vendor bids in terms of total cost, quality, delivery lead time, etc, and be able to present conclusions and recommendations to Management
• Negotiate with potential vendors
• Develop knowledge of market segments relevant to the work assignment
• Scout market for new potential vendors than can fulfill Lilac’s needs
• Work with internal users in order find market solutions to their needs
• Develop professional commercial relationships with suppliers, maintaining highest ethical standards at all times
• Comply with company policies and procedures, and help internal customers understand and conform to them 

Candidate Qualifications 

• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience 
• Knowledge of mining industry goods and services market (Northwestern Argentina)
• Basic knowledge of regulations involved in the procurement of goods outside Argentina (SIRA, etc.)
• Academic Qualifications (possible options)
• Engineering
• Business Administration 
• Foreign Trade (licenciado en Comercio Exterior)
• Others (to be evaluated)
• Experience working with SAP
• Fluent in English
