About the role....

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our diverse and rapidly growing team. As Inari has continued to develop gene edited products, the need for management of these projects and integrating the complex set of cross-functional activities has become increasingly important. This role will be based in Inari’s West Lafayette, IN location and will report to the Director, Project Management. 

 

As a Project Manager, you will…

  • Work with Director, Project Management and a cross-functional Product Leadership team to build project teams to meet objectives 
  • Develop, monitor, and report on project progress for our crops
    • Create project plans with clear milestones, deliverables, and accountabilities
    • Ensure projects move forward against timelines
    • Monitor progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation plans
    • Manage project resources and identify additional resources / adjustments required with key project team members 
  • Ensure projects move through Stage Gate governance process and manage timelines and issues for appropriate handoff to commercial development teams
    • Align project development objectives across Commercial, Science, Product Development, IP, Legal, and Regulatory teams during the development process. 
    • Create cross-project reporting for the Leadership Team and organization that outlines key metrics for projects in the product creation process - map of subprojects by phase, metrics of subprojects that are on/off timelines, resources required by project, etc.
    • Partner with the cross-functional project team members to complete post-project learnings to share with the organization and leadership team to inform future projects.  

 

You Bring…

  • BS degree in Ag or Science related field required.
  • Experience in agriculture is preferred. 
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret critical paths, anticipate bottlenecks, draw conclusions, and prepare clear and concise reports and recommendations tailored to an audience.
  • Superior presentation skills and ability to present ideas and concepts to staff and management at all levels.
  • A strong sense of purpose and drive to develop unique, high impact solutions.
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for new challenges, innate curiosity, and a passion for learning.
  • Creative and strategic thinking, willingness to be bold and take risks, and the ability to recognize and learn from failure.
  • A collaborative mindset that is open to giving and receiving ideas, perspectives, and feedback.
  • Ability to work both independently and deliver on responsibilities within a highly collaborative environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals and audiences.
