Overview

We are looking for qualified, passionate, hardworking Interns to join our team! Beta Technologies is looking for a motivated student to join our Structures team developing ALIA, an all-electric, vertical takeoff, electric aircraft (eVTOL). We're looking for someone who is autonomous, can think outside the box, and has excellent collaborative and communication skills.

The Project Engineer Intern for Structures will be a self-starter supporting the Structures team project management function. The selected candidate will be accountable to continuously update and track the Structures program schedule and work with the Program office to track the Structures program requirements, schedules and budgets. You will have responsibility to track alignment with the different other interfacing groups, suppliers and work closely with the manufacturing group to maintain the Structures team schedule and milestones to support the aircraft production schedule.

Le/la stagiaire en gestion de projet pour les structures devra faire preuve d'autonomie et soutiendra la fonction de gestion de projet au sein de l'équipe Structures. Le candidat sélectionné sera responsable de maintenir à jour le calendrier du programme Structures et travaillera avec le bureau du programme pour assurer le suivi des exigences, calendriers et budgets du programme Structures. Vous aurez la responsabilité de vérifier l'alignement entre les différents autres groupes internes en lien avec le programme Structures, ainsi que les fournisseurs et travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec le groupe Fabrication pour respecter le calendrier et les jalons de l'équipe Structures afin soutenir le calendrier de production des avions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Participant of a cross-functional team developing, certifying, procuring, and building the Airframe of Alia 250

Managing and coordinating team tasks, schedules and Coordination Memos

Technical coordination support with internal and external suppliers to ensure development, design, qualification, and manufacturing efforts support the aircraft production schedule

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Full time Engineering Student in relevant discipline.

Available for a minimum 4-month full time internship (ideally 8 months)

Previous Internship experience working in aircraft, rotorcraft or any other high pace industry with a focus on development, design, and certification an asset.

Familiar with Program/Project Management processes

University / Collegiate Design Projects experience a major asset

Excellent organizational, time management skills and commitment to objectives and responsibilities.

Ability to work autonomously

Great communication skills (oral and written) in both English and French

Qualifications requises (connaissances, compétences et capacités) - Exigences

Étudiant ingénieur à temps plein dans une discipline pertinente (le stage sera de 40 heures par semaine).

Disponible pour un stage de 4 mois minimum à temps plein (idéalement 8 mois).

Expérience de stage antérieure dans le domaine des aéronefs, des giravions ou de toute autre industrie à rythme soutenu - axée sur le développement, la conception et la certification, un atout.

Familier avec les processus de gestion de programme / projet

Expérience en projets universitaire / collégial un atout majeur

Excellentes compétences organisationnelles, capacité à gérer son temps efficacement et engagement envers les objectifs et les responsabilités.

Capacité à travailler de manière autonome

Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et verbale (anglais et français)

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Working knowledge of Project Management tools (MSProject, Jira, others)

Google G-suite including Drive, Mail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Charts; Slack

Familiarity with Solid Modeling tools (CATIA experience preferred)

Qualifications souhaitées (connaissances, compétences et capacités)

Connaissance pratique des outils de gestion de projet (MSProject, Jira, autres)

Google G-suite, y compris Drive, Mail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Charts ; Slack

Familiarité avec les outils de modélisation solide (expérience CATIA préférée)
