The Program Manager R&D/Localization will be in charge of leading all aspects of R&D related localization projects that will lead to development of new products and features to create new revenue sources. Responsible for initiating programs, following their progress, and serving as support providers in case issues arise. Coordinate efforts among internal technical teams and strategic partners, as well as develop and manage effective schedules, identify risks and mitigation plans to successfully complete the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate early stage R&D opportunities
  • Work closely with global engineering teams and leadership teams to identify and establish project and product requirements and success criteria 
  • Develop, track, and analyze program’s key performance indicators including the effectiveness of technical strategies, project execution, to provide management detailed status updates.
  • Facilitate meetings, organize meeting minutes and driving action items.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with local and international corporations and institutions
  • Managing development projects and other open items 
  • Stakeholder relations: Serves as the key technical contact for stakeholders and an escalation point for program/project issues.
  • Effectively communicates appropriate information to stakeholders in a timely manner and to achieve desired understanding and support
  • Directly interface with internal teams and customers and help work through open projects. 
  • Directly interface with hardware and software teams and the customer to ensure open items are addressed and requirements are understood. 
  • Identify and drive new products and features through the development process 
  • Gather and create product requirements and specifications 
  • Make sure project meets deadlines and is completed within budget 
  • Review and testing requirements to ensure they match our product goals 
  • Effectively communicate project status and suggest changes to use resources more efficiently 
  • Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or PhD in Engineering or related technical field preferred 
  • Additional degree in administration, business, management or a related field a plus 
  • Experience in technology, business development, or other entrepreneurial environment Experience in similar technical position and/or exposure to research preferred 
  • Problem solver with excellent leadership skills 
  • Self motivated and able to work on own 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Understanding of the local research landscape a must
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical and detail-oriented execution
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, process navigation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Passion in technology and emerging/early-stage products, interest in science, and demonstrated intellectual curiosity
