Program Manager (Operations)

We are currently seeking a Program Manager (Operations). This position requires an experienced professional with a 5+ years of experience in technical leadership, system engineering and/or technical program management background. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

·      Accompanies vehicle programs from the conceptual design phase to the start of production, including Alpha, Beta and RC phases.
·      Designs and implements effective program management processes and best practices from initiation to completion in partnership with Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other cross functional departments.
·      Proactively evaluates design and engineering decisions, making sure they don’t cause any gap in correlation with the program schedule, budget, and scope.
·      Fosters strong cross-functional partnerships and can effectively prioritize workload demands to meet project deadlines.
·      Work closely with Supply Chain to validate material availability and help remove roadblocks or escalate issues as needed by build phase
·      Align delivery plans along Logistics and Build areas (Manufacturing and/or Engineering).
·      Track Engineering implementation plans for tooling and resources needed for build phases.
·      Actively align Operational efforts prior and during build phases in order to meet agreed milestones.
 
Qualifications:
·      A proven track record of development and delivery of technical products.
·      Experience building, developing, and managing highly effective program management tools and processes.
·      Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a high-pace highly complex cross-functional environment.
·      Excellent organization and delegation skills with the ability to own the product roadmap and schedule with a track record of delivering projects on time.
·      Ability to inspire confidence to the executive members as well as the engineering project teams.
·      Ability to quickly comprehend complex problems and effectively facilitate the team to a decision and coordinate the action plan.


Advantageous:
·      5+ years of experience in technical leadership, system engineering and/or technical program management, preferable automotive related.
Education Requirements:
·      BS or MS in Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Master’s or Ph.D. degree in the corresponding field such as business or project management is plus.
·      Project Management training. PMP certificate is a plus.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
California (Bay Area) - $96,000-132,000 per year

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
