Production Operative - Wheel Build

The Manufacturing Team

We have redefined the eBike kit product category with excellent design and innovative technology, with our Manufacturing Team being key to producing our kits and delivering products to our customers.

To achieve the best possible manufacturing process, we have assembled a manufacturing team consisting of Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Operations experts.

The role

We are looking for a Production Operative to be trained to operate machinery and pack products at our new Wheel Build facility in Colton, Norwich. You’ll mainly work as an operative across production of our wheel build line.

Responsibilities

• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
• Monitoring equipment
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, neat and well-organized.
• Packing outgoing stock, taking inventory and reporting shortages.
• Keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Other duties as requested by Management.

About you:

Essential

• 1+ years work experience in a similar role
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Proficient with using tools required within the production facility
• An understanding of how to maintain machines
• Thorough attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Physical coordination and dexterity, able to carry up to 20kg
• Teamwork and communication skills

Advantageous

• Proven experience as a machine operator
• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)

• Degree or equivalent in manufacturing/production/engineering
• NEBOSH Certificate
• IOSH Managing Safely
