We are currently seeking a Production Operations Manager, Stamping. In this role, you manage the safe and efficient day-to-day and future planning for the Lucid Stamping Operations in Casa Grande, AZ.

You Will:

  • Maintain staffing plans and lead "hands-on" in all areas of production. Lead by example.
  • Implement training programs for all production processes within the paint department.
  • Manage SPEQDC (Safety, People, Environmental, Quality, Delivery, Cost) indicators for stamping production.
  • Track production downtime and implement resolutions to production deficiencies.
  • Balance workforce and create work schedules to meet production demands.
  • Enforce requirements/standards/process control plans.
  • Lead production teams during all build phases and interface with all departments to foster a highly productive manufacturing system.
  • Feedback opportunities to design for manufacturability of the vehicle.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing process to eliminate waste.
  • Manage reprocess areas to drive quality/production efficiencies/root cause problem resolution.
  • Create an environment where all employees are valued for their contributions and understand their impact on the company's success.
  • Ensure all employees follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Enforce standardized work processes and enforce the passion for detail.
  • Drive world-class quality for our luxury vehicles through in-station process control and driving defect resolution to the point of fit.
  • Lead the team in implementing processes to control expenses and increase productivity throughout the department.
  • Analyze and control change costs, schedule delays, and quality issues over the course of production shifts.
  • Develop and implement training plans for supervisors and team members.
  • Set production goals and communicate them to all production staff.
  • Coordinate with process engineering/automation and materials for improvement activities.
  • Work with maintenance to implement regular "PMs."
  • Equipment & Engineering:
  • Maintenance – preventative and predictive for Stamping dies and stamping equipment.
  • Continuous improvement / machine design / requisition.
  • Comprehensive spare parts inventory.
  • Database of everything mechanical.
  • Facility maintenance.
  • Safety of operators and technicians.
  • Improve efficiency, balance production lines, reduce changeover times.
  • People Development.

  • Design weekly / daily work schedules.
  • Weekly safety meetings.
  • Improve attendance, reduce overtime.
  • You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Tool & Die Apprenticeship experience preferred.
  • 8+ years of Operational Management preferably in a high-volume automotive stamping manufacturing environment required.
  • Tandem, progressive, blanking, and transfer stamping required.
  • Extensive aluminum Class A, BIW, and Closures experience with focus best in class DFM and manufacturing practices.
  • The ability to travel internationally.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills with the heart of a servant leader.
  • Working knowledge of current manufacturing techniques – tooling, metal stamping, assembly, and testing.
  • Working knowledge of production and quality control procedures used in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective skill in establishing and maintaining working relationships with a wide range of individuals from varying economic, social, and educational backgrounds in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical, time management, and analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of material properties, mechanics of materials, and how these materials react when subjected to varying stamping conditions.
  • Must be capable of working with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and management on a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to remain current with the state-of-the-art technologies and practices related to the metal stamping process as well as develop innovative solutions when necessary.
  • Able to use MS Office- Excel, Project, Word,
  • Proficiency in Cad software - CATIA and Autoform.
  • Be easily identifiable as a Servant Leader.
