Helion is hiring a Production Operations Engineer to oversee design, implementation, and refinement of important production systems. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams across supply chain, production, engineering and test operations. You will also directly influence the commissioning timeline for Polaris, Helion’s next generator, and lay the groundwork for Helion’s transition to generator mass-manufacturing. You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Production at our Everett, WA location.
What you will be doing:
Design and implement rate-based assembly lines and cells for high-volume subassemblies with support from production and engineering leadership
Gather data to identify production bottlenecks, and propose and deploy solutions
Develop new business processes that align with production team growth, including manufacturing execution, non- conformance management, process control, process safety, etc.
Implement high return-on-investment capabilities, including capital equipment and software capabilities that improve manufacturing processes
Improve Helion’s plan for generator mass-manufacturing, including incorporating changes based on new generator data, refining factory models, and communicating updates to the executive team
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of technical work experience that includes setup and improvement of production systems
Hands-on engineering or manufacturing experience in rapid hardware prototyping and iteration
Hands-on engineering or manufacturing experience in rate-based and high-volume manufacturing
Experience communicating with and influencing partners across organizational lines
Experience in cradle-to-grave ownership of complex engineering or production scopes
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment that includes changing needs and goals
The pay range for this position is $100k-170k. This pay range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed based on several factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
