About This Role
Crusoe is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. This critical role directly supports the successful execution of our innovative data center and power generation projects. You'll be instrumental in sourcing and securing the necessary materials, equipment, and services for our field operations, and your expertise in procurement and contract management will be key to ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of critical project components. This role is a contract-to-hire position, fully on-site at our 255 Fillmore Street location in Denver, CO, and directly contributes to our mission of mitigating environmental impact and driving the energy transition.
What You'll Be Working On
Supplier Engagement & Sourcing: Request quotes for major equipment and materials from suppliers and build a robust supplier base to support future projects.
Proposal Evaluation & Awards: Prepare bid summaries to thoroughly evaluate commercial proposals and provide strategic award recommendations.
Supplier Identification & Vetting: Proactively locate, qualify, or promote potential new suppliers for services or sources of supply, ensuring a strong and reliable network.
Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate and execute a variety of agreements, including Service Orders, Master Service Agreements, Master Purchase Agreements, and EPC contracts. You will also oversee and manage the execution of all contracts.
Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all suppliers, fostering partnerships that support long-term success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., Project Managers, Engineers, and Legal) and external suppliers to ensure seamless project execution and clear communication.
Project Status Updates: Communicate project progress, potential risks, and any challenges to relevant stakeholders, providing transparent and timely updates.
What You'll Bring to the Team
Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience. You have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in direct procurement roles, such as Buyer, Capital Project Procurement, or Category Manager.
Project Experience: Proven experience in purchasing equipment for large-scale capital projects in the oil and gas industry, such as compressor stations, gas processing plants, and power generation facilities.
Key Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of organizational and time-management abilities.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suite for data analysis, reporting, and collaboration.
Work Ethic & Adaptability: The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bonus Points
Experience with industry-standard procurement software (e.g., Coupa).
Industry certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPSD, MCIPS, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CTSC.
Experience with oil and gas field operations.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $40-$51 per hour. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
