We are looking for a People Manager for our SCADA/Network/Controls Engineering team.

We welcome applications from across Europe, but you will need to relocate close to our HQ in Erlangen, Germany.

- Team lead for all SCADA/Network/Controls Engineering resources (in the range of 20 to 25 resources) allocated to the function.

- Execution of all projects in subregion on time and on budget with focus on SNC Engineering deliverables.

- Managing solution standardization and development of project / customer specific features on Scada, Network and Control topics. Support of development of a regional R&D team for customer specific (last mile) developments on Scada, Network and Control topics.

- Managing resources necessary to deliver projects and assigned tasks on time and on budget with focus on Scada, Network and Controls engineering deliverables and deployment efforts.

- Escalation management for all projects throughout the region (customer / Fluence internal).

- Responsible for creating processes for the team to ensure consistency throughout all tasks and deliverables.

- Development of younger engineers and supporting them to reach the next level.

- Keep current with all Company products, developments, and projects as they apply to the S./N./C. at both site and enterprise levels.

- Maintain strict management of change S./N./C. procedures and documentation.

- Remain current on industry best practices and updated technology to ensure the company is provided world-class S./N./C. services.

- Support company strategy and provide relevant reporting and updates to Company leadership as needed.

- Develop and recommend performance management and feedback to current Controls technical support KPI’s.

- Executing tasks related to Fluence’ safety KPIs

- Travel throughout EMEA / internationally

- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a relevant field with focus on Automation, Controls, Network (or equivalent)

- Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience with Scada/Controls of power systems for utility installations, PV plants, Battery Storage Systems in the EMEA region

- Strong Leadership skills

- Experience with coordinating complex projects and multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization environment.

- Expert in the electricity transmission/distribution sector and EMS systems: Grid code and requirements analysis, development and testing of algorithms for Grid services applications.

- Experience and base-knowledge in Linux based systems and commands, High-level programming languages such as Python and shell/bash scripting and Github.

- Experience and basic knowledge in MathWorks Simulink for model-based systems engineering, C/C++. Knowledge about AWS, Openstack, Docker.

- Expert on the design, operation and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment including but not limited to inverters, transformers, I/O racks, telecommunications, and controllers.

- Solution-orientated mindset

- Good communication skills

- Fluency in English

- German / other language skills beneficial
