Role Summary

The Logistics Data Analyst is a key role within the Product Management team within the Logistics group at Rivian, focusing on all things data!  Responsibilities will include gathering, organizing, analyzing and visualizing data from various Rivian systems to tell impactful stories, find areas of opportunity to support business decisions.  In addition to being a subject matter expert on these various datasets, this role will be responsible for performing and presenting various ad-hoc analyses and creating sustainable metrics, KPIs and tools to support the various logistics groups and partners.

The ideal candidate has the ability to understand and communicate complex issues and ideas to a variety of audiences, manage competing priorities through effective communication and documentation, and work effectively with cross-functional team members. We’re looking for an organized self-starter with an analytical mind and experience with various analytical tools (data viz, ETL, modeling).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
  • Develop, manage, and maintain data, KPIs and processes for the logistics group and its partners, ensuring reliability, integrity, and accuracy of data
  • Support systems data analytics including: TMS (inbound materials and finished vehicles), SAP (Order Management, Inventory Management) and several In-house applications
  • Develop and enhance current processes, data pipelines and data visualizations based on user feedback and best practices
  • Automate non-value-added tasks and data collection for dashboards in collaboration with IT
  • Create ad-hoc reports for various stakeholders to support strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Establish control processes and guidelines around ETL tasks, data maintenance and data visualization
  • Facilitate and coordinate logistics data integrity concerns and provide a regular communication link back to stakeholders

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Logistics, or Supply Chain
  • 3+ years’ experience in structuring, analyzing, and visualizing large data sets
  • Working or practical knowledge of automotive manufacturing, global supply chain and logistics for US-domestic as well as Europe & International markets
  • Practical experience leading/managing collaborative projects with extremely complex/technical detail subject matter
  • Experience with Data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and data transformation tools (Alteryx, Knime) – Knowledge of SQL, R and/or Python is a plus
  • Experience with Automation/RPA would be beneficial, but not required
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and/or other project management and documentation tools is beneficial, but not required
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20%
