Zignal is looking for an analytical, detail-oriented and experienced social media analyst to identify narratives, trends, and specific types of content. We proactively monitor content and flag notable items, as well as calculate the impact and reach of these items, both for our customers and to train artificial intelligence and machine learning systems. You’ll be a valued member of the Zignal Customer Operations team and work cross functionally with our Product, Implementation, Sales, and CS teams to ensure the success of this strategic program.
You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our customers and partners, surfacing ad hoc insights, developing and delivering recurring update reports, and identifying other areas where Zignal could provide additional value. You will help cultivate and grow our internal expertise, execute service delivery for customers, and be entrusted to interface with customers as needed.
You are methodological, energetic, detail-oriented and self-driven. You can find and communicate actionable insights, work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, manage simultaneous workflows, and deliver outputs according to strict timelines. You also have experience and deep interest in tracking geopolitical issues and building Boolean queries to find precise results. Excellent communication skills, strong analysis skills, creative problem solving, and adaptability are a must.

In this role you will:
Proactively monitor media mentions related to our customer’s strategic prerogatives & emerging topics of interest to them within the Zignal Enterprise (ZEN) platform
Maintain existing reporting schedules by monitoring, analyzing & reporting on traditional and social media
Leverage discretion while alerting customers about breaking news & trending topics that affect their organization and strategic operations
Support the Customer Operations team in the management of projects end-to-end, from gathering business requirements and structuring data, to translating these to technical requirements, and developing/implementing a solution according to clients’ project requirements and timelines
Work with both the Zignal and client team to prioritize, define and execute tasks required to meet key deadlines
Optimize existing processes and support the internal client disinformation working group in the tactical execution of sub-tasks associated with success for the larger program and contribute analysis to briefings
Update project tracker documents and report on progress in team meetings
Required Skills and Qualities:
BA or equivalent experience in Business, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Military experience a strong plus.
Minimum 1 year agency or in-house experience in research and/or quantitative analysis or media monitoring experience
Demonstration of an understanding of the social media detections function and extensive knowledge of gathering data from all available social media platforms: Twitter, Tiktok, Telegram, WhatsApp, and Facebook
Strong analysis skills, experience working with analytics platforms and advanced use of Excel and/or Tableau or equivalent
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management, prioritization and poise under pressure
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to define and distribute actionable recommendations
Effectively multitask and switch between multiple projects at different stages of the life cycle
Strong discretion when evaluating and disseminating information
Results-oriented logical thinker, with a passion for solving customer challenges
An agile and conscientious self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
