About Harbinger

Harbinger Motors Inc. is a Los Angeles-based electric vehicle manufacturer on a mission to transform the automotive and transportation industries, bringing to market EVs developed from the ground up to address the needs of the Medium Duty vehicle industry. Position Overview

As a member of the Battery Engineering team, you will play an active role in development of the company's battery system. You will support design and development of cutting-edge energy storage systems for the commercial vehicle industry, designed to address challenging requirements for durability and longevity.

Responsibilities

Mechanical design and development of battery components, including but not limited to battery modules, current collectors/busbars, coolant systems, disconnect module, etc.

Design components for manufacturing using stamping, casting, injection molding and other high-volume processes

Specify and interpret analysis (FEA/CAE/CFD) for component synthesis

Complete DFMEA and other APQP tasks

Complete 3D mechanical design using CATIA/3DExperience

Complete 2D drawings

Participate in design reviews and peer reviews

Executing laboratory testing including material testing/coupon testing

Collaborate with manufacturing colleagues to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) requirements are met
