We're looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to join our team. You will oversee the safe operation of our electrolyzer production equipment. You will be involved in all phases of the equipment lifecycle, from definition of requirements to maintenance and upkeep. You will work with different teams to accomplish factory and site acceptance tests and ensure equipment is situated in production areas.
You will work onsite at our Devens, MA office, reporting into the Manager, Manufacturing Equipment Engineering.
Primary Responsibilities
Commitment to safety and implementation of safety guidelines
Evaluate daily equipment problem and provide input for equipment specifications and requirements
Work from first principles to help define the design of custom equipment
Create equipment schematics such as: design drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics
Help conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
Ensure equipment is installed in our factory
Define maintenance procedures and conduct regular preventative maintenance
Monitor equipment health and report out equipment metrics
Facilitate process control and process development projects
Work on projects to improve the performance and reliability of our equipment
Qualifications
BS or higher in an engineering field
Familiar with equipment automation, including PLCs and SCADA systems
Comfortable reading and reviewing design drawings, electrical / pneumatic schematics, and P&IDs
Experience with equipment facility connections such as: power, pressurized gases, water, and data
Experience bringing products/custom equipment through its full design cycle, from concept to production
Experience working with and installing components such as laser sensors, proximity sensors, gas flow and pressure sensors, vision systems, motors, pumps, and VFDs
Familiarity with a CAD program, for example Onshape, SolidWorks, or NX
Project experience that shows excellence working within a team environment to achieve a technical goal

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
