ICON is looking to add a Manufacturing Electro-Mechanical Technician to our Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work in a team environment on the production floor in the areas of assembly, fabrication, paint, and other production areas. The ideal candidate should always ensure safety, quality, and standard work protocol are followed while using tools to accurately assemble both purchased and manufactured parts into finished products.  This role will report to our Senior Manager, Manufacturing Production and will be based at our Austin, TX campus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring proper use of materials and adherence to shop standards.
  • Perform production assembly, rework, troubleshooting, and in-process repairs, while documenting improvements for future builds.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust equipment; conduct minor preventative maintenance in alignment with safety, quality, and efficiency guidelines.
  • Conduct tests, collect and analyze data using defined tools and software; inspect and verify product quality during and after engineering builds.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement and refine manufacturing and testing methods.
  • Accurately document build results and observations during engineering development cycles in a clear and concise manner.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in assembly and testing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with interpreting schematics, models, and work instructions.
  • Basic computer literacy and proficiency in standard software tools.
  • Comfortable working in a production or factory setting, including on elevated platforms (10+ ft).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, with excellent motor skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Experience in electrical wiring installation, troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, and executing time-sensitive tasks under pressure.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is highly desirable.
