Role Summary

Leads all Vehicle Order Operations related functions in the plant and provide in person support and collaboration with cross-functional teams involved, which includes, Production, MES, Supply Chain, Material Planning, Sales , Demand and Service. Position reports to the Senior Manager of Scheduling onsite Normal, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to set build slots and ratio across all shops based on the MPP in the ERP and Execution systems.
  • Responsible for setting and maintaining the calendar in the ERP systems across all shops and ensure and audit the inputs based on the feedback from cross functional teams.
  • Responsible to create and maintain sequences across all shops.
  • Weekly planning and level loading based on approved configurations, shift schedule, models and supply constraints.
  • Governs, logs and maintain restriction and constraint rule sets in the system.
  • Responsible for resource rebalancing, VIN generation including launch and trials.
  • Create and oversee work packages for all shops.
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting on KPI's.
  • Conduct weekly cross functional meeting to align production, sales, launch and material requirements .
  • Aging/scrap reporting along with investigation and mitigation plan on recovery.
  • Responsible for data integrity in the planning and execution systems.
  • Work with IT teams to close out open issues and root cause analysis, creating a pareto for various occurrences.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly performance review with all direct reports and provide constructive feedback and guidance for progression to respective career goals.
  • Teaches, plans, and implements the Rivian Production and Quality Network with emphasis on the five core principles.

Qualifications

  • 8-11 years' experience in Automobile industry is a must working with various, MRP, ERP and MES systems.
  • Engineering Degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Electric or Computer science) or MBA in operation management.
  • Working knowledge in SQL, Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook programs.
  • Strong leadership skills, experience managing multiple teams preferred.
  • Ability to set tasks and responsibilities
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
  • Strong team orientation and cross functional attitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
