What you’ll do:
Manage the structural analysis team which is responsible for performing all required structural analysis on the vehicle while also ensuring it meets structural design criteria and regulatory requirements.
Define roadmaps, schedules, organize and prioritize the work, track and communicate progress.
Develop building block test programs to validate analysis methods and ensure all testing is completed in accordance with certification plans.
Work closely with structural test and M&P groups to define testing requirements for certification approach.
Manage day-to-day tasks of direct headcount as well as contractor and external suppliers as needed.
Ownership of structural substantiation reports and other technical reports required to obtain FAA certification.
What you need:
10+ years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structural analysis
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field, M.S. preferred
Expert knowledge of FAA aircraft certification requirements for Part 23 aircraft
Proven experience with stress, fatigue, and/or damage tolerance analysis on primary structural components (both metallic and composite structures)
Experience in performing airframe structural analysis via a combination of classical hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis
Strong understanding of FEM modeling techniques (boundary conditions, bolted connections, contact, verification methods, etc.)
Experience with development and/or qualification testing
Familiar with classical aerospace sizing methods (ex: Bruhn, Niu, Roark)
Experience in analysis of stability critical structures (local buckling phenomenon, global buckling, crippling)
Self-starter, team player, and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills, and a servant leader mentality
This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $164,000.00-$205,000.00. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
