Responsible for the delivery of safety electronic systems, sub-systems and components across all Lucid platforms and vehicles.

•Oversee function definition, performance, and implementation for all projects within the team
•Develop and maintain strategy and future roadmap for safety systems and commodities, to support requirements of all vehicle projects
•Ensure projects are delivered on time to cost targets
•Manage Tier 1 suppliers for both engineering development and program timing 
•Function as the technical lead for all supplier interfaces within the team
•Work closely with supply chain team to execute defined strategy and deliver against key program and vehicle milestones 
•Work closely with vehicle electrical integration team to integrate the safety sub-system into vehicle overall electrical architecture 
•Work with diagnostics and cyber security teams to ensure compliance with Lucid specifications 
•Support vehicle homologation team to ensure regulatory compliance of the systems
•Lead documentation of lessons learned guidelines and requirements within the team
•Manage team resources to deliver projects effectively across all vehicle platforms

Qualifications
•Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline such as computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of work experience as a systems engineer or related role
•A proven track record of technical excellence in vehicle electrical system development, with direct experience in development of multiple of the following safety systems and sub-systems; Restraints Control Module (RCM), Occupant Classification System  (OCS), Occupant Detection Sensor (ODS), eCall, Seat Belt Reminder, Vehicle Crash Response 
•Capacity to build the team, as well as being operative by the time the team is complete and fully operative
•Knowledge of latest technology advancement in the field of vehicle crash safety 
•Experience in vehicle networks and topologies, including CAN, LIN and Ethernet 
•Experience of vehicle on-board diagnostics implementations 
•Engineering fundamentals in problem solving 
•The ability to articulate highly technical issues to audiences not in the safety field, such as top management, design studio, purchasing team, etc. 
•Ability to manage a team and plan resources effectively to deliver against required deadlines
•Excellent people skills to manage suppliers, push the envelope to develop optimal technical solutions, ensure timely delivery of all components 
•Good understanding and application of project planning and task management 
•A strong attention to detail and desire to create the very best product 
•Excellent writing, verbal, and organization skills 
•Strong ethics

Preferred
•Experience in working with Functional Safety processes and relevant documentation 
•Experience in creation and management of Failure Mode Analysis techniques, including DFMEA 
•Experience developing and delivering embedded system hardware and/or software 
•Experience with electric propulsion systems, including relevant controls 
•Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline such as systems engineering, computer science, electrical or mechanical engineering
