Role Description

The Manager, Purchasing and Business Processes will directly enable Form’s ability to execute our aggressive growth plans by owning and streamlining all purchasing processes and activities. This person will map the business process needs across the company, with a focus on procurement and inventory, and deploy improved systems to centralize processes and effectively scale. The scope will include setting strategic directions and owning responsibility for all day-to-day purchasing of all of Form’s direct materials, equipment, and other critical components that make up Form’s spend portfolio. This person will be tasked with building the team necessary to deliver continued execution and growth of the company. The role will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Supply Chain and be highly cross-functional with direct engagement with Finance, Accounting, IT, Engineering and internal users/customers across the company.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with teams across Form (R&D, manufacturing, facilities, etc.) to understand the full spectrum of purchasing needs.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure that purchasing processes and systems are in line with working capital strategy and budgeting process. 
  • Own and improve Form's end-to-end procurement processes from purchase requests creation through approvals, vendor onboarding, order execution, goods receipt, and fixed asset registration, while ensuring clean data tracking along each step
  • Map the procurement and business process needs across all organizations in the company and create strategies to consolidate, streamline, and improve the way Form operates
  • Identify, develop, and implement processes, tools, and policies that enable scalability and spend discipline as Form grows, including supporting the selection and implementation of appropriate purchasing, ERP, inventory, and/or related enterprise software tools
  • Manage all daily purchasing activities and build a team to support as necessary
  • Analyze company spend data, develop spend management KPI's, and establish reporting processes to drive improvements, visibility, and process optimization
  • What you'll need:

  • Bachelors in finance, business, accounting, or other quantitative field
  • 4+ years of experience in purchasing, prior experience in company or business unit transitioning from R&D to to manufacturing focus a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with purchasing and ERP software and best in class procurement and inventory practices
  • Quantitative, analytical, data-driven decision maker Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Desire to create, own, and manage a critical function at a rapidly growing company
  • Challenges assumptions with first-principles mindset
  • Clear, concise communicator with the ability to be direct while building and maintaining productive relationships
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize efforts, and effectively communicate progress and strategic roadmaps
