Zoox is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our advanced vehicle assembly line. This role, positioned within the Equipment Engineering and Maintenance team, will lead a group responsible for maintaining cutting-edge manufacturing equipment, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Fanuc robots, dispensing equipment, and other advanced systems. The Maintenance Manager will ensure optimal equipment performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and lead contract maintenance technicians in supporting production uptime.
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $172,000 to $249,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.

Lead and mentor maintenance technicians, manage schedules, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvementDevelop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for AGVs, Fanuc robots, and other assembly line equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to minimize downtimeAnalyze maintenance data to improve equipment reliability and support lean manufacturing initiativesEnsure compliance with safety regulations and maintain comprehensive maintenance documentationQualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar technical degree7+ years of equipment engineering or maintenance in a high-tech manufacturing environment (self-driving, automotive, robotics, or related industry)3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial roleStrong expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting automated manufacturing systems, including Siemens controls, AGVs, and Fanuc robotsFamiliarity with SAP maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data-driven decision-makingExperience building out work instructions, spare parts inventories, and CoHE standardsBonus Qualifications
Experience with startup OEM vehicle assembly linesKnowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, and roboticsFamiliarity with industry standards such as OSHA and machine safeguarding requirements
