The Role

  • Build and manage team of US-based HR operations professionals who are responsible for: 
  • Managing workforce administration: processing and verification of required documentation on the designated HR employee life cycle activity such as: employment contracts, I9’s, termination letters, transfer letters, salary change notifications, verification of employment, high profile on-boarding and off boarding. 
  • Supporting regional growth and expansion. 
  • Responding to and troubleshooting employee and manager-related workforce transactions and issues. 
  • Directing employees and managers to the appropriate online support materials, reports, tools systems, and/or vendors, where available.  Where materials are not yet available, responsible for designing and implementing innovative interim and longer-term solutions. 
  • Providing guidance and training to HR partners as well as employees/managers on HR processes, workflow, and relevant systems. 
  • Act as the primary HR Operations point of contact in the USA for employees and HR partners at all levels of the organization in region. 
  • Manage and lead key projects that fall within the scope of HR Operations in partnership with relevant stakeholders. 
  • Support global projects as required. 
  • Identify key areas for process improvement and make recommendations that maintain global integrity while achieving local relevance. 
  • Manage and uphold team SLAs and customer support targets. 
  • Investigate and assume responsibility for additional operational work and tasks from HR teams. 

  • Qualifications

  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, HRIS, benefits, and HR processes; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations across the US 
  • Highly collaborative; comfortable leading people in a matrixed environment 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook 
  • Ability to foster and support a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork; able to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues across all departments 
  • Able to analyze data to guide strategic HR planning 
  • Comfortable to give effective presentations to all levels of the organization. 
  • Undergraduate degree in business, human resources management, psychology, or related field 
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in progressive HR positions, with at least five years leading a team 
  • Automotive industry and/or start-up environment experience advantageous
