The Manager of Accounting Policies and Procedures is a key member of the Accounting and Finance Team and serves as an accounting subject matter expert and critical business partner, supporting Arrival’s global accounting processes and financial transactions. This role is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Arrival’s accounting and finance policies and will support a broad spectrum of technical accounting matters.

What you'll be doing:

Serve as a key business partner, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Arrival Accounting Policy subject matter expert, ensuring accounting policies are embedded within the organization and supported by related business processes.

Perform technical accounting research and analysis and documentation of accounting conclusions for significant transactions. Prepare accounting memos summarizing accounting conclusions in line with (IFRS).

Provide technical accounting and implementation support and training to members of the global finance and accounting team on the treatment of accounting issues in compliance with IFRS and SEC requirements.

Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual filings with the SEC.

Author technical accounting policies.

Lead the interpretation of new accounting standards and policies within the organization. Monitoring and assessing the effects of proposed IFRS Standards to Arrival’s reporting and business processes.

Assist with reviewing parent and subsidiary financial statements prepared under IFRS

What you'll need:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA License required

5+ years of Accounting experience, including past experience in Accounting Policy interpretation and authoring

Strong working knowledge of IFRS and / or US GAAP

Ability to read, interpret, summarize, and apply accounting standards

Strong business partnership and communication skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and strict deadlines

Attention to detail and ability to organize

A proven track record of process improvement and a continual improvement mindset

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively and confidently with all levels of management and with various business groups

Willingness and ability to take ownership of projects, including the implementation of new accounting standards

Ability to be effective working both independently and within a team
