We are currently seeking a Manager, Fastener Engineering & Vehicle Integration. You will lead a team of engineers and others in support of vehicle development as well as ensuring readiness for production. You will drive all fastener-related issues to closure to get Lucid products into mass production, optimizing fasteners for cost, commonality, and quality.
For this role you need to be open to relocate to Newark California.

The Role:
Lead and organize your team to perform Joint Design, Fastener Catalog Standard Part Release, and Validation Authority to develop fastening strategies for the vehicleLead engineers to specify loads, define stress targets, and improve analysis methods for bolted joint analysisConsult with Design Engineers in proper joint design and recommend fasteners based on usage, coating & part strengthDrive resolution of joint design issues between stakeholdersAchieve commonization of fasteners with assembly-friendly solutionsPlan, design, and document a company-wide fastener catalog based on best practices cost control and global availabilityDevelop & Implement Testing strategy based on cooperation with test facilities to validate jointsOversee the release of fastener drawings, part names & numbers, and CAD (CATIA v6) into EnoviaProvide Design Engineers with testing support including samples and testing oversightProvide continuous improvement of processes by supporting line walks, best in class serviceability, assembly time reduction, and cost reduction initiativesConduct training in principles of bolted joint analysis for management, engineers, and designersInvestigate and promote new fastener technologiesQualifications:
BSME Degree, MSME preferred2+ years of management experience5+ years of Fastener Engineering experience w/automotive OEM or supplierFastener lab testing experience (torque specification development)Fastener selection/recommendation experienceFastened joint design review experienceFastener manufacturing experienceAbility to read and understand component drawingsAbility to travel (up to 15% domestic travel may be required)
