About the company:
Crusoe's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.
Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.
About This Role: The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end movement of goods, ensuring that materials and products reach their destinations efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. You will act as the "air traffic controller" for our supply chain, bridging the gap between suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to maintain a seamless flow of operations. This is a critical role in ensuring that our innovative data center and power generation projects remain on schedule and within budget.
What You’ll Be Working On:
End-to-End Transportation Management: Orchestrate domestic and international freight, including LTL, heavy haul, and time-critical "hot shot" deliveries.
Shipment Tracking & Visibility: Proactively monitor shipments in transit to the warehouse or project site. Identify potential delays (weather, port congestion, etc.) and communicate real-time updates to project managers and customers.
Documentation & Financial Integrity: Meticulously audit purchase orders, bills of lading, and invoices. Partner with Accounting to ensure 100% reconciliation and accuracy of bills of lading (BOL), including uploading BOL’s to the Coupa system to enable three-way match and cost accuracy.
Vendor Performance & Compliance: Prepare and audit critical shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoices, and Packing Slips from suppliers and/or from the warehouse to the project sites. Manage carrier relationships to ensure safety, punctuality, and cost-efficiency. Lead the resolution process for any OS&D (Overages, Shortages, and Damages).
Operational Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and propose process improvements for warehouse receiving and site-specific logistics.
Inventory & Material Control: Support inventory accuracy by tracking equipment movements between facilities and project sites, reconciling physical counts against digital records.
Receiving & Inspection: Conduct inspection of delivered equipment for damages and validate quantities and BOL/packing slip accuracy. Photograph any damage found and advise the Sr. Logistics and Asset Manager of findings, including photographs; ensure comments are written on packing slips for inaccuracies and reported accordingly.
Emergency Response: Manage "special circumstance" logistics and participate in an on-call rotation to handle critical, after-hours supply chain emergencies.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Experience & Education: 2+ years of dedicated experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
Problem-Solving & Crisis Management: Proven ability to troubleshoot shipping delays and vendor non-conformance independently. Ability to stay calm and find creative solutions when a shipment goes missing or a carrier cancels last minute.
Organizational Skills: Hyper-organization with the ability to manage 50+ moving shipments simultaneously without losing track of documentation.
Negotiation Skills: Comfortable "talking shop" with carriers to secure the best possible rates without sacrificing service quality.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills for coordinating between international vendors and internal executive teams.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Experience with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) for data analysis. Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Company Values: Embody the Company values.
Bonus Points:
Experience in logistics for large-scale construction projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business.
Background in warehouse management or inventory control.
Benefits:
Industry competitive pay
