The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of logistics ensuring goods are effectively delivered, optimizing logistics process, expanding carrier network, and maintaining accurate shipment details in our ERP. The Logistics Coordinator will also have the opportunity to be part of early-stage biotechnology that will positively impact people around the globe.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Transportation booking with carriers as well as securing customer distribution center appointments to achieve on-time, in-full deliveryManaging shipments for efficiency and high service levelsExecuting necessary shipment documentation (BOL’s, packing lists, pallet placards, required EDI transactions) Secure and communicate updates on truck arrivals, book new trucks, and investigate delivery failuresHandle and process freight claimsExpand carrier base by onboarding new transportation providersIdentify process gaps, propose, and drive implementation for scalable solutionsEnsure shipment data in ERP is accurate and up to dateAct as a SME on the shipment process and partner with Operations on ensuring its successImplementation of transportation management systemEducation and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, 3+ years of relevant experience, which could include Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or FinanceExperience within a food manufacturing environment, CPG, or environment with short shelf life preferredExperience in logistics and/or transportation requiredExperience with transportation management system preferredExperience using an ERP (NetSuite) preferredExperience with broad supply-chain management and process development preferredSpecial Position Requirements
