About This Role

We are seeking a motivated, practical and solution-oriented attorney to review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements. This position is part of the Legal team. The successful candidate will be a law graduate with 5+ years of experience in corporate law or contracts, particularly including working across business, procurement and legal teams on vendor services and supply agreements, purchase orders, and confidentiality agreements. While not required, experience with real estate development and infrastructure projects, renewable development and construction agreements is extremely helpful as well.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including:

    • Equipment purchase agreements

    • Consulting agreements

    • Master services agreements

    • Leases

    • Energy supply agreements

    • Non-disclosure agreements

    • Real estate development and infrastructure agreements (preferred)

    • Renewable development and construction agreements (preferred)

  • Work closely with business stakeholders (e.g., procurement, operations, engineering) to understand their needs and translate them into legally sound and commercially viable contract terms.

  • Advise business stakeholders on the interpretation and management of contractual obligations and risks.

  • Identify and mitigate potential legal and commercial risks associated with contracts.

  • Assist in the resolution of contract disputes.

  • Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks to streamline the contracting process.

  • Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of legal issues related to the company's business.

  • Stay abreast of relevant legal and industry developments.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • 5+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience in contracting for general contracts, energy, and/or infrastructure.

  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and/or with such clients.

  • Licensed attorney.

  • No misconduct and in good standing with the State Bar.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and logical reasoning.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Legal Research: Legal research.

  • Motivated & Collaborative: Motivated self-starter and team player; ability to work collaboratively.

  • Adaptability: Must be able to work in a complex and fast paced environment.

  • Compliance: Must be able to pass a background check.

Compensation:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $215-250k. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
