We have an exciting new role for a junior paralegal or law graduate to join our legal team in London. We’re a small, friendly team of four lawyers advising on all areas impacting our rapidly growing business. We’re looking for someone who can support us with all kinds of legal and administrative tasks and this role offers a challenging and exciting opportunity to get stuck into a wide range to kick start, or grow your legal career.

What you'll do Company secretary support - including reviewing confirmation statements, accounts approvals, structure charts and entity management across our now global businessSupport on trademark registrations, brand and IP portfolio managementAdministration support on a huge variety of topics, including know your customer and anti-money laundering support, invoices and legal fee managementNon-disclosure agreementsSupporting the operations team with customer court claims, disputes and complaints Support with our contract management Intracompany management and contract supportSupporting the management of our office leases Basic contracts, for example heads of terms Wider general support to the legal team that could include almost anything!
What you'll needA genuine interest in a career in law - but we’re relaxed on whether that’s a law degree, a conversion course, or some experience working in a legal environmentYou’ll have plenty of support but must be happy to take things on, run independently and make decisions A friendly approach with great organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent at prioritisation and working proactively and efficientlyHappy to multi-task and manage a variety of tasksA desire to be part of a tight and ambitious team, willing to work hard and ‘muck in’ to help out with the variety of things that cross our desksHave a genuine interest in the Octopus Energy Group’s mission
