The Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Analyst shall help deploy and maintain Perfect Day’s R&D laboratory applications and supports their users. The position requires a knowledgeable professional with experience in biotechnology R&D and the ability to respond to requests for application support. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable skills to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems and stays current on trends and changes in technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot and support our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Work with group leaders to streamline laboratory workflows and develop data standards and governance processes for efficient functioning of the LIMS.Provide advice and training to end users and create user documentation, videos and training material to help users transition to the new LIMS system. Respond to application support requests from laboratory staff, including requests for new instrument integrations and work with vendor contacts to implement new configurations as needed.Monitor the LIMS software application, document and analyse problems, and publish instrument maintenance schedules. Set up user accounts and assign associated application permissions. Maintain system documentation. Work closely with application development teams and vendors to tune and troubleshoot applications.Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, or a related scientific field and 5+ years’ experience or Experience evaluating the functionality of both existing and proposed new systems. Experience using Jira and Scrum. Experience with commercial LIMS solutions such as Benchling, LabVantage or Starlims.Understands the workflow and process requirements of complex application systems. Demonstrated ability to be the subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex R&D applications. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools. Excellent verbal, written communication, and negotiations skills. Demonstrated soft skills required such as presentation of ideas and clearly articulate the concepts to senior management. Outstanding attention to detail with superior time and project management skills. Understands business functions related to the application. Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a System Administration-like role in a healthcare, biotechnology or pharma domain. Experience with developing reports from a LIMS system is a plus. Experience in working with onshore / offshore teams. Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at various organizational levels. Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with others. Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative.
