Lucid is seeking a Design Engineer to create, design, test, and validate and accessories and labels for regulatory and corporate labels worldwide.  You will collaborate with peers in the regulatory, purchasing, manufacturing and quality functions to implement methods and product improvements, and support production build activities. You will support assembly centers and ports of entry for resolution of issues to ensure regulatory compliance across all Lucid programs while balancing cost, complexity, and timing.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Deliver part releases to quality, cost, and program timing 
  • Actively seek to improve product, process & standards  
  • Manage test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign off and support Engineering test teams with resolution of issues 
  • Resolve issues with component Engineering and Launch teams plus other stakeholders to develop designs that meet targets 
  • Ensure all appropriate standards, design guidelines are met 
  • Understand regulations as they relate to labeling for all regions, and ensure compliance with these requirements 
  • Maintain documentation on released parts 
  • Undertake any other work as directed from time to time
  • Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area 
  • A working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes. 
  • Proficient level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult 
  • Proficient level of detail orientation with the ability to understand technical concepts quickly and solve complex problems under pressure and within time constraints 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn on the fly; quickly grasp the essence and the underlying structure of information and logic 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship leadership skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed 
  • Previous experience of leading the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. 
  • Desirable

  • Previous experience within engineering or homologation departments.
  • Design of regulatory labels, program coding or logic controls experience
  • Experience with 3DX, CATIA v6, and/or JIRA 
  • Experience of cross functional co-ordination capability in Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Quality 
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed
