About the company:

Crusoe exists to bring energy to ideas. We are the pioneers of clean computing infrastructure that reduces both the costs and the environmental impact of the world’s expanding digital economy. By unlocking stranded sources of energy to power cloud and data center services, we are creating the climate-aligned future of compute-intensive innovation that reduces rather than adds to emissions. The world’s appetite for computation, energy, and progress will never stop growing. Crusoe is here to bring energy to ideas in ways that are aligned with the needs of our climate.

Cruose's mission is to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. We’re crafting the engine that powers a world where people can create ambitiously with AI — without sacrificing scale, speed, or sustainability.

Be part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.

About the Role:

Crusoe is seeking a Lab Manager, Data Center to lead the operation and development of our hardware engineering lab and test environments. This role plays a vital part in supporting our infrastructure and AI systems through hands-on hardware validation, cross-functional collaboration, and meticulous operational control of lab assets, safety, and workflows.

What You'll Be Working On:

  • Oversee daily operations of the hardware lab and manage test environments for AI and high-performance computing platforms

  • Coordinate installation, racking, cabling, and setup of servers, GPUs, networking, and storage equipment

  • Manage lab expansion logistics, including space layout, power provisioning, and cooling requirements

  • Partner with hardware, software, and data center engineering teams to support bring-up, validation, and debugging of new hardware platforms

  • Maintain and enforce safety protocols and lab access standards

  • Track hardware and component inventory, including procurement, RMAs, and asset tagging

  • Document and maintain lab procedures, configurations, and usage guidelines

  • Support burn-in testing, root cause analysis, and hardware debugging where needed

  • Serve as the lab’s primary point of contact for audits, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience

  • 5 to 10 years of experience managing hardware labs in data center or enterprise environments

  • Strong knowledge of server architecture, infrastructure components, and networking gear

  • Experience supporting GPU, CPU, or SoC bring-up and hardware validation processes

  • Demonstrated success operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage tasks across engineering, facilities, and operations

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and inventory or asset tracking systems

Bonus Points

  • Experience supporting AI workloads or HPC platforms

  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation and lab configuration tooling

  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools or instrumentation

  • Prior work in a rapidly scaling cloud or hardware organization

Benefits:

  • Industry competitive pay

  • Restricted Stock Units in a fast growing, well-funded technology company

  • Health insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependents

  • Employer contributions to HSA accounts

  • Paid Parental Leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Teladoc

  • 401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of salary

  • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule

  • Cell phone reimbursement

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Subscription to the Calm app

  • MetLife Legal

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $127,000 - $188,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
