We're looking for a autonomous and technically proficient Systems Administrator to join our growing team. You will collaborate with our Systems Engineering and Support Teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT systems across the organization. You'll be given wide latitude to architect creative, solutions to our challenges and take ownership of complex technical issues that demand deep systems knowledge.
You are a problem solver who excels in dynamic environments and is passionate about applying their expertise to allow operational excellence. You will be based in the our San Jose office, reporting into the Director of IT.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions to support business operations and R&D activities.
Provide high-level support and leadership in managing Microsoft Azure, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Intune environments.
Collaborate with Systems Engineering to assess infrastructure needs and translate them into technical solutions
Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions that enhance productivity and security across teams.
Prototype and deploy tools and workflows to refine support operations.
Be the Tier 3 escalation support for complex IT support issues that require deep troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Partner with Support Team members to mentor and up skill on high-impact issue resolution.
Configure and support LAN/WAN networks and ensure high availability and performance.
Manage hardware in corporate offices, lab, and data center environments, including servers, storage, and switches.
Maintain system security configurations and endpoint compliance using modern management platforms.
Participate in audits, documentation, and process improvements aligned with company policies
Qualifications
Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration, systems engineering, or similar roles
Knowledge in Microsoft Azure, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Intune
Experience with LAN/WAN technologies and enterprise network architecture
Windows and macOS systems in hybrid environments
Experience supporting on-premises infrastructure (e.g., servers, switches, data center hardware)
Strong scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
Familiarity with modern identity and access management best practices.
Background working in startups or fast-growing technology companies.
Exposure to IT security frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
